Original content untrimmed, chisel made by Claes Jansz Visscher from a painting of the sixteenth century by Maarten de Vos (or Martin) .Epreuve on watermarked laid paper, working from the early seventeenth siècle.Il is a illustration of a passage of the Gospel according to John 20:14: "Saying this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus." (Episode of the meeting of Mary Magdalene and the risen Jesus at the tomb) .Légende in Latin in the lower part of the gravure.Signature artists in planche.Mentions numbered "1" in the lower right corner and character "V" in the top left corner in the manuscript gravure.Mention "129" in the upper right margin of the planche.Une old handwritten annotation in Greek characters in the right corner of the cuvetteFiligrane visible crown angle by foxing transparence.Légères small and mainly marginal spots, a discreet sign of angular creases, otherwise nice condition for this extremely rare engraving and large fraîcheur.Maarten de Vos (or Martin), Antwerp from 1532 to 1603, is a Flemish painter. He was a pupil of Frans Floris, and then completed his training with Tintoretto.
