Original etching unsigned, probably made chisel from a painting of the sixteenth century by Maarten de Vos (or Martin) .Epreuve on watermarked laid paper, working from the early seventeenth siècle.Il is an illustration of Gospel according to Matthew 25.36, "I was sick and you visited me" .Légende in Latin in the bottom of the numbered gravure.Mention "6" in the lower right corner in the print and handwriting " 114 "on the sidelines in the top corner droit.Une old handwritten annotation in Greek characters under the right angle visible cuvette.Filigrane by transparence.Rares and tiny foxing mainly marginal spots, a tiny corner missing, otherwise very good condition the conservation of this extremely rare engraving and large fraîcheur.Maarten de Vos (or Martin), Antwerp from 1532 to 1603, is a Flemish painter. He was a pupil of Frans Floris, and then completed his training with Tintoretto.
