This is an illustration of the Gospel of Matthew 5-4, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall be comforted" (The second of the eight beatitudes spoken by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount) .Légende in Latin in the bottom of the engraving: "Macte animo, pastus fletu quem moeror & Eger is luctus; nam you solamina grata manebunt Rore.
