An American magazine published a novel by John Steinbeck

An American magazine published a novel by John SteinbeckAn American magazine published a novel by John Steinbeck
The Strand Magazine published a new novel by John Steinbeck, missing for more than 70 years: With your wings ("With your wings")

Steinbeck wrote the novel, which there is no record for the radio broadcast of Orson Welles, before it falls into oblivion for 70 years. The text, entitled With your Wings (with your wings) was read on the radio by Orson Welles circa 1944.
The editor of Strand Magazine, Andrew F. Gulli found in the transcript in the archives of the University of Texas: "This news is about a young African-American soldier who returns home after a career as a pilot of Air Force. It was a time when African-American pilots were poorly treated by the army because of discrimination. Through this new, the writer tried to convey a strong message by showing that Most African-Americans watched World War II as a war in which they had to contribute to their country, the United States, and as such, the army should have better view and treat these soldiers.
