First edition of the French translation.
Binding of the publisher in half navy shagreen, back with four nerves adorned with cold boxes and gilded, framing of cold nets on blue cardboard plates, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, three corners blunt.
Our copy is complete with a double plate of the Zambezi Falls at the beginning of the volume, the portrait of David Livingstone frontispiece, 23 etchings inset, an Africa Cup and two large folding cards in fine with some tears and marginal gaps.
The book also contains many engravings in the text.
Two clear wetting affecting the first and last leaves of our copy, some small foxing, annotation with the feather in the margin of page 51.
