First illustrated edition of 51 drawings by Benett and 57 facsimiles and cards by Mathis and Morieu. In fine catalog AI of 1880, particularity which distinguishes the first edition.
Red editor cardboard "to the Ptolemaic armillary sphere". Brown guards. second flat Engel type b with rosette, palmettes of angle and framing of greek. Superb top plate with gleaming golds. Coins very straight and pointed. Back well with dirt. Headdresses folded, with a micro cut in the head and a small lack of percaline. second board very well. Some pale foxing scattered, but together clean. Volume well solidarity and homogeneous.
Very nice copy.
