Humorous autograph letter signed to his great friend Carlo Rim enriched with three original color drawings in the form of rebuses, 32 lines in black ink. In this letter, Henry-Paul Gassier gently mocks his friend Carlo Rim: "Carlo Rim loved rebuses too much... but Carlo Rim didn't know how to translate rebuses..." and "Carlo Rim claims to have gone mad trying to decipher rebuses that H.P.G. had made to test his strength. Carlo Rim is a damned liar...", "... but Carlo Rim has great mental laziness... And if that's not true, then Carlo Rim is perfectly idiotic..." Carlo Rim was a Provençal writer, author of "Ma belle Marseille", a caricaturist, a filmmaker and was notably the friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of Max Jacob and André Salmon whom he met in Sanary.
