First edition, rare, published without the author's name and undated. A title thumbnail. Full mottled calf Used era. Back tooled raised florets 5. Gilt title dimmed. Cap head torn off. Missing tail with open joints. Very blunt corners. Gallery to the preliminary pages with the text reached. Briefs on the state of Lorraine and Barrois in 1750 and various bailiwicks, except that of Metz. Ample alphabetical and topographical places table is the whole point of the book. Serious and precise study of the Duchy of Lorraine. The author has assembled all the knowledge he could find on buildings, officers.
