New edition, quite uncommon. A Portrait of Louis XI in the frontispiece. Originally published in 1488 to "address Lyon. Speckled calf Full time. spine tooled raised. Piece title in red morocco. Caps threadbare. Corners lightly bumped. Good copy. This excellent historical chronicle was written by a contemporary of Louis XI, bourgeois of Paris, notary at the Châtelet, who meticulously wrote down the events, large and small, presques dailies, the court of Paris and the government over the work being developed from 1463 year until in 1479. They say she is a rich historical source in many respects.
