Mention fourth revised edition, corrected and augmented. A frontispiece head of the first volume. Full brown sheepskin smooth. Back with four nerves decorated with arabesques boxes and golden coins as brown morocco. All slices speckled. Two caps head frayed, two caps tail slightly hilly. Several sheets restored (small angular gaps text) in the third volume and a care sheet at the end of the fourth volume. André Dacier translated and commented most of the Greek and Latin authors, renewing in early eighteenth considerable work of philologists and scholars of the sixteenth century. His work was highly esteemed and tasted even during the nineteenth century and took place despite him in the quarrel between the ancients and the moderns.
