Loÿs DELTEIL

Le peintre graveur illustré (XIXe et XXe siècles) Tome trente-et-unième. Jean Frélaut

Chez l'auteur, Paris 1926, 25,5x33cm, relié.

First edition illustrated with 27 lithographs and 254 etchings of Jean Frélaut.
Our copy is quite complete original etching taken separately and printed on laid and which has not been connected with the book.
Binding to the bradel half toffee caramel, back rubbed with five nerves, marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, preserved covers.
Binding rubbed on the back, nice interior state.
Our copy is enriched with a watercolor full-page painter and engraver Jean Frelaut representing a countryside landscape he has enhanced in pencil, signed the initial of his name and includes this autograph signed by his daughter: " To my little Nannie, more affection than talent, her father, Sept. 42. Souvenir of Brandery. "
The copy had previously been offered to Anne Frélaut and bears this handwritten mention, above the watercolor, as a present: "For Anne, copy donated by our friend Le Garrec 1927."
Finally, our copy is riddled with an original drawing by Jean Frélaut, in pencil of paper, which he signed the initial of his name, and which represents the house of Loÿs Delteil with this precision handwritten: "House of L Delteil F. "
