First illustrated edition (the original being published in 6 volumes in-8 at the same date), illustrated with 2 frontispices and 18 etchings off text by Philippoteaux, Riffaut, Karl Girardet.
Bindings in half red sheepskin, back with four nerves adorned with fleurons and double golden nets, golden dots on the nerves, red percaline plates adorned with cold fillets, contreplats and handmade paper guards.
Back and cuts rubbed, very rubbed caps, some stains on the boards, some foxinges.
