illustrated book of 24 plates showing the scriptures of various celebrities, engraved after the original autographs.
The numbering of the boards within the fantasy: stopping at the thirty-third and forgotten figures en route.
Our edition is enriched with an essay on the art of judging men on their style; the writings of Louis XVI, Queen Bet-Antoinette and the Dauphin; and a curious alphabet of deaf-mutes with which one can learn in a few hours conversing with them.
First page and last pages of text and shaded stained, _a trace of title tag that was torn on contreplat.
