First Edition, one of 20 numbered copies on vellum Arches paper reserved for the XX for each of the three volumes.
Braziers bindings in brown half morocco with corners, smooth backs, tail dates, covers and back preserved, gilded heads on witnesses, bindings signed Canape.
The last two volumes are under double covers and the first two are signed to the justification by the author .
The copy of the Uprooted is enriched with a large page of the original manuscript in black ink, filled and mounted at the beginning of the book.
The Call to the Soldier is enriched by an autograph letter signed by Barrès to a friend in which he mentions the upcoming publication of the series Bastions de l'Est in the Revue des deux Mondes.
