Illustrated edition of 29 original compositions by François Schommer (including the cover), one of 75 numbered copies on Japan, head print.
Binding in full blue morocco, back very slightly cleared with five nerves set with golden dotted lines and decorated with a set of golden interlacing, golden date and place in tail, golden casters on the caps, large frame of a set of fifteen nets gilt tracery on the boards, paper guards and counterplates in the vat, framing of a set of golden tracery nets on the counterplates, double gilded fillets on the cups, preserved cover, gilded head and edges, engraved glued bookplate on a counterplate, elegant very slightly posterior English binding dated 1913 and signed Zaehnsdorf, Hungarian binder installed in London.
Each illustration, in double condition in our copy, was engraved with a chisel and etching by Léon Boisson.
Beautiful copy perfectly established in a very slightly posterior English binding.
