First illustrated edition, rare, and not cited by Clouzot in his Guide bibliophile nineteenth century, and does not mention an illustrated edition for this title. Text on 2 columns.
Binding half dark green sheepskin contemporary. Smooth back decorated with 3 florets and nets. 2 blunt corners. Traces of friction. Good copy, fresh overall.
Without being a sequel, this novel is part of a trilogy taking place in the sixteenth, Queen Margot, The Lady of Montsoreau and Forty five . This famous title has been adapted to television and cinema.
