Le tour du monde en 80 jours

J. Hetzel, Paris 1873, Grd. in-8 (18x27,5cm), 217pp., relié.

Original illustrated edition, drawings by Neville and Benett, and a large map, planisphere.
Cartonnage d'éditeur ("Aux bouquets de roses") of the 5th type (with framing of Greek and black circles around the medallions), brown in color. Beautiful upper plate with small traces of high margin discoloration in the border of Greek. A corner slightly folded. Rubbed corners. spine faded and cleared up. A very thin slit of 1cm in the head on the lower plate. second board well with a white spot 0.5cm in diameter. Scattered bruises. All in all, a very appreciable copy.
The cinema will be profoundly interested in this mythical title of Jules Verne, one of the most popular adventure novels ever written.
