First edition

Jules VERNE Une ville flottante. Les forceurs de blocus

Jules VERNE

Une ville flottante. Les forceurs de blocus

Hetzel, Paris 1872, Grd. in-8 (18x27,5cm), 171 (1), relié.

First edition illustrated by Férat first and cardboard bearing the signature Magnier lower back.
Cardboard editor "Aux bouquets of roses" of the 3rd kind green grass. Superb first plate of perfect freshness (except a problem of the Greek frieze print top volume, the ink having somewhat bavée). Back to the impeccable bent slightly higher cap. Second flat copy. The set is an impeccable, with the corners well pinched. We only deplore the scattered spots.
Roman dating from 1870 and takes place on the Great Eastern, a gigantic airship with on board several thousand people on the route Liverpool-New York. The blockade runners is a long maritime having new framework for the War of Secession. It assists in the fight against sailing steam.
