New edition, second edition. The text is a reprint of the one found in the final copies "Aux initials", with some modifications: On the back of the title sheet, the printer's mark reappears. Later prints will show polychrome boards. HF catalog in fine.
Editor's cartonnage says "Au steamer", with red macaroons. Very beautiful first plate signed Paul Souze, almost flawless. 2 corners slightly rubbed. Beautiful back, clean, with the headdresses a little sagging. Nice second board, lustrous percaline. Homogeneous bine volume. Scattered, unevenly distributed burns, on frontispiece and title, then on a few leaves, especially at the end of the book.
