New illustrated edition. 38 drawings by Geoges Roux, 6 color chromolithographs and a map.
Cartonnage editor said "Acanthus leaves", the golden pellet. Beautiful first plate, with some micro scratches. The lower right corner of the first board with a small lack of percaline, the other corners are folded. Back a little insolated. A cut of the percaline on 1cm along the lower joint, a second on the upper joint on 0.8mn. Headdresses folded. second board well, with discrete soiling. Perfectly fresh interior, totally freckled. Some notebooks a little out.
Nice copy.
An adventure novel set in Central Africa, in which Verne quotes Darwin's theory several times; the protagonists discovering a tribe living in trees, a kind of monkey men without tails.
