First Edition illustrated. 111 drawings by Benette and a map. Catalog fine in 1886 for Cardboard editor connected Lenègre.; special plate Souze. Cardboard told the silver banner or ball. The cardboard was used only for the triple volume Sandorf. Beautiful state of two boards. Back faded. Rubbed Caps. Early slot on 5 cm upper joint. Roussseurs very light rain. Good copy, the first ice-cold plate. Sandorf is dedicated posthumously to Alexander Dumas. Jules Verne honors in effect in this novel the author of the Count of Monte Cristo ("In this book, I tried to make Matthias Sandorf Monte Cristo Extraordinary Voyages."); Sandorf was betrayed and imprisoned him as his adventures and retrace his revenge.
