Mention of third edition, considerably augmented, after the first appeared in 1768. A frontispiece by Eisen, engraved by Longueil, a vignette of title in a cul-de-lamp of the same, engraved by de Ghendt.
Binding of publisher in full calf jasper. Smooth back decorated with grotesque vine. a piece of title in green morocco, a second in red morocco. Triple framing net on the boards. Gold slices. a lack of headdress. 2 blunt corners. Frottements in caps, bits and corners.
Poetic flourish. A warning presents the edition as being more neat than the previous two, with entrenchments and additions, and a new order. The "Discourse on poetry" is to be found in the form of a preface, in which the author confesses his inclinations, especially for medieval poetry.
