Reprint for the poet's Elegies bibliophile Cabinet Collection Dieppe Jean Doublet, born in the early sixteenth century and died around 1580. edition of 333 copies, this one of 15 numbered copies on Whatman.
Contemporary binding in full red morocco, signed Hello - Wampflug back with five nerves decorated with gilded finials to entrenerfs, golden florets hit the flat center, double net gilded underscore cuts and caps, wide gold lace framing contreplats of all edges gilt. Beautiful copy in a nice binder of Hello, gilded by Wampflug, gilder in Lortic of 1856-1876.
From the library of Baron Marescot (1879, No. 151), with its engraved armorial bookplate.
