Binding half shagreen cherry with corners, back with five nerves set with ornate golden dotted triple golden and black boxes decorated with golden angles typographical motifs, framing of double net gilded on marbled paper boards, a small tear in head a cut, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, gilded head, two corners lightly used, contemporary binding.
Dated and signed autograph dedication by Nadar: "To my good and dear friend Giraud ..."
Bibliophile print buffer Aquitaine F. de Maupassant as an bookplate on the title page.
