Edition illustrated with engravings including a double portrait of Pierre Corneille on the frontispiece of the first volume.
Bindings in half purple calfskin, back with four ends set with quadruple golden threads and nerves adorned with golden typographic motifs, plates of marbled paper, guards and counterplates of paper in the tank, bindings of the time.
Bookplates glued to the first counterplates.
Some slightly rubbed upper caps, otherwise pleasant together.
Beautiful, very decorative copy.
