Illustrated edition, frontispiece, a portrait of the author by Ducreux engraved by Gaucher and 36 figures inset engraved by Moreau Delvaux, Ghendt, Roger, Simonet, Thomas and Trireme. Binders half hazelnut iced calf, spine with four nerves purposes set with quadruple gilt decorated with black pinstripes and typographic designs golden browned heads and tails strips, a top cap with a small angular missing boards marbled, endpapers contreplats and paper bowl, lightly bumped corners, marbled edges, elegant bindings signed by Bibolet. Notice on the life and works of CA Dumoustier F. Fayolle. Few minor foxing.
