First edition, one of 50 numbered copies on "pur-fil" paper, ours justified off trade but not numbered, only leading copies.
Bound in full brown morocco, back thinned with five nerves set with golden threads, golden initials of the tail tail author, golden wheels on the headdresses, framing of quadruples golden nets on the boards, guards and contreplats of white moire silk, framing of triple golden threads on the contreplats, following guards of paper with moiré effect, covers and back preserved, gilded head, case bordered of brown morocco and with two snags in margins, plates of marbled paper, binding signed Léonce Valette.
Illustrated book of 46 drawings in the text as well as 32 inset plates shot in rotogravure.
Preface by L. de Boisset.
Our copy, probably reserved for the author since connected to his initials and being part of the off-trade edition in large paper (usually attributed to the author), was offered by Charles César Ritz to the Minister of Agriculture and includes this shipment Signed autograph Charles César Ritz: "To the Minister of Agriculture ... who is also the one of the fishing Homage of the author."
