Psalm 119 is the longest of all psalms and the longest chapter in the Bible; about is respect for the law. Calvin wife in his reading most of the arguments expressed by St. Augustine in his comments, but the formula in his language. He reminded several times that the Act forms part of the covenant God made with Israel; the Act is not a collection of commands to watch, it would be nothing without the adoption of grace and covenant with Jesus Christ. Sermons were collected by his students, Calvin does not have time to rewrite and his chagrin, to make them more concise. He was also long grieved publications of his sermons, not only because he could not work them, but because the shape of the sermon deviated from its principles of writing and a sermon for a particular public would have been different in another place; so he understood little that can spread throughout Europe.
Three bookplates including Ambroise Firmin-Didot and Jacques Old Man.
