Original edition, rare, published anonymously, and has never been reprinted; 5 leaflets illustrated maps of Paris for the four time periods studied the history of Paris, ranging from the dawn of the monarchy of Louis XV (to Louis X, Philip VI to Charles X, Charles X Henry IV and the latter to the reign of Louis XV). This edition was published simultaneously in Pierre-François Giffart.
Binding in full mottled brown sheepskin of the time. Back with nerves decorated with four jewels and a tail wheel. Part of title and volume number in red morocco. Lack head of the rotator volumes II and III. Head caps threadbare for volumes IV and V. Tail Hat Volume IV threadbare. Most corners bumped. Friction.
The book was written from the history of the city of Paris and of Félibien Lobineau 5 folio volumes (1725), she wanted more accessible, financially and intellectually. The fifth volume is a description of the city of Paris, extent at different ages, churches, schools, places, old streets and new streets, monuments ...
