Binding half percaline indigo, smooth back with a gold central floret, double gold mesh tail piece as long marine morocco grain, marbled paper plates, corners lightly used not serious, contemporary binding.
Rare and precious autograph signed by the author to his close friend, the cellist (Ernest) Desmarest a pencil on the title page: "my friend Desmarest, souvenir of an old and faithful affection H. Berlioz." .
Often cited by biographers, the correspondence between Berlioz and his faithful accomplice is an important source of information about the work and master of artistic questions, as this letter written from 1841 to 1842 during his first stay in Germany: "A moment I sat down, broken dashed, and asking me if I had any plant there and leave Berlin the same evening I have thought of you in the wrong time, saying: -.
