Binding full ice cream cherry vintage signed Purgold. Smooth spine adorned with a series of mirrored irons filling the entire back, a triple framing net containing the irons. Cold roulette head and tail. 4 sets of frames on the boards, 3 of which are cold and one of three golden fillets; central rectangle naked. Roulette on the cuts and triple gilded nets inside. Golden slices. Purgold was considered one of the greatest bookbinders of his time. Except for minimal defects, a friction along the upper joint, an epidermis on the lower plate, superb copy, perfectly solid and homogeneous.
