Rouvroy Louis, Duke of Saint-Simon, better known under the name of "Saint Simon" (1675 - 1755) was a French writer, famous for his "Memoirs", recounting in detail the lives of the Court. The first major issue is that of Adolphe Cheruel, from 1858, followed by that of Boislile from 1879 to 1930. These editions establish the glory of Saint-Simon, overtaking the Cardinal de Retz in the pantheon of memoirists, and devoting as a major historical source for the reign of Louis XIV. Proposed here in a limited edition for bibliophiles, adorned with numerous lithographs Drian. Draftsman, printmaker and designer, Drian is rather talented interpreter of the Art Deco mode. He leaves here a little of his usual register. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate. Contact us for any information!
