First edition not put on the market, one of 45 copies numbered and initialed by the author on Japan, ours printed especially for Jean Comte, head print.
Nice copy despite the back very slightly insolated as generally.
Work adorned with a frontispiece, cul-de-lamp and vignettes by Paul Welsch.
Signed autograph dedication from Paul Fort to Jean Comte on a guard: "... this book is a great deal of trouble and little joy, this flight of black birds to cherries ..." enriched two pages further from this handwritten thought: "Light is the life of all my thoughts."
