Binding pine green half calf, back with four nerves set with black dotted decorated with double black net and golden initials of great bibliophile Roger Cormenin repeated five times, marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats paper to the tank, sliced Blanding, engraved bookplate pasted on a contreplat, slightly later binding.
Partially offset indication of library storage in blue pencil on a guard.
Provenance: Library Maxime du Camp with his bookplate engraved and glued the head of a contreplat and Roger Cormenin son of Louis Cormenin who was the confidant and secretary of Théophile Gautier and also the close friend Gustave Flaubert.
Pleasant beautifully drawn copy.
