Binding half morocco lemon yellow, back with five nerves decorated with gilded initials of great bibliophile Roger Cormenin repeated five times, golden tail date, title piece of turquoise blue morocco, marbled paper plates, boards slightly discolored heads, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, gilded head, slightly later binding.
Book decorated with two inset portraits gravure and 16 drawings in-text.
Provenance: the library Cormenin Roger, son of Louis de Cormenin who was the confidant and secretary of Theophile Gautier and also a close friend of Gustave Flaubert.
Pleasant beautifully drawn copy.
