New edition, the original being published in 1867. Illustrated 172 vignettes by Riou, engraved by Pannemaker, 3 cards. First carton after specialized cartons
Editor's cartonnage said "To the shell" to the rare dark blue color, signed lower back Lenègre. Second flat type Lenègre "b" with central cold macaron. Beautiful first plate, particularly sharp gold, very rare occurrence for this type of cardboard. Back slightly darkened, with small hints of tints at the headdresses. Headdresses with micro cuts. second board bearing traces of friction. Lower joint restored at the top of 5 cm and tail on 10 with recovery of tint. Scattered foxing. Coin of the missing p.523, without loss of letters. Despite some defects, very beautiful copy, rare in this condition and this color.
