Original bilingual edition in Hilaire Bernard de Roqueleyne's new translation, Baron de Longepierre (1659-1721). False title and title page in red and black. The French translation with regard to the Greek original.
Exemplar to the arms of Joseph Bonnier de la Mosson on the upper plate, his name in gold letters on the lower plate. Bonnier de la Mosson remained famous for its huge cabinet of curiosities organized as a thematic museum and deployed on 7 adjoining rooms, around 1730, in his mansion in Paris. His father was Treasurer General of the States of Languedoc, charge he inherited.
