Complete edition of 1801, called "Bonaparte", dedicated to the First Consul of the French Republic, commented by Voltaire.
Binders of the time in full porphyry blond calfskin, smooth backs adorned with cherry seedling and golden stars and irons in the lyre, golden lace tail, lace with the Greek, pieces of title and tomaison of green calf, fine floral lace gilded framing boards, gilt net highlighting the cuts, headdresses highlighted with golden streaks, contreplats and paper guards to the tank, all slices marbled.
Some headdresses damaged, corners slightly blunt, two backs skilfully redone.
Beautiful very decorative copy.
