Last and rare edition published during the lifetime of the author, and first collective containing all the parts, since the previous edition of 1687 contained no Athalie nor Esther nor Songs. Like the 1687 edition, it was shared between Claude Barbin, Thierry Denis and Pierre Trabouillet; 2 is illustrated frontispiece, 6 figures for Volume I and Volume II 6. Each piece is preceded by a half-title and the preface.
Binders full calf antique brown. Back with nerves decorated. As exhibits in red morocco. Head cover of Volume I threadbare. Coins of Volume II blunted. Rubbed together.
