Le Chat noir. Septième année, n°353 du samedi 20 octobre 1888

Au cabaret Le Chat noir, Paris 1888, 31x45cm, en feuillets.

First Edition. The number is made up of 4 pages. Robida's drawings. Literary contributions of Alphonse Allais, George Auriol, Alfred Massebieau, François Morel, Albert Tinchant Gaston Méry. Few marginal tears, a central trace fold and some very tiny bites on the last page. The Black Cat is a weekly magazine created by Rodolphe Salis and Emile Goudeau, published from 1882 to 1897 in order to promote the famous cabaret of the same name which it purports memory. It publishes texts declaimed during performances. It is, moreover, an important literary and artistic testimony of the late nineteenth century, around the bohemian and Parisian effervescence of its own. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
