The illustrations are treated as photographs or postcards, they are very similar at first glance. Cardboard Editor chagrined green paper. Decorative plate on upper cover with title. A dull corner. On the edge: Manufactured in Germany. (Only for the carton). Buffer blue library: Bigwood's circulating library. Jersey. The presence of the train in the engravings between St. Helier and St. Aubin, inaugurated in 1870, portends a closest to that date edition.
