Third edition, partly original, printed by Honoré de Balzac one year after the very rare original edition. Binders half sheepskin hazelnut back smooth decorated with double nets and typographical golden jewels, some traces of minor friction on the back, marbled paper plates, a hitch in a lower corner, marbled edges, bindings of the time. Rare autograph dedication by the author on the half-title page of the first volume. A small marginal ink stain on Page 311 of the second volume, a few minor foxing.
